about

Our Child, Youth & Family Specialist

I specialize in working with children, teens and young adults that are struggling with stress, big life changes, and overwhelming emotions that are hard to control. It can be so difficult to feel alone and like no one understands you, and even more lost on what step to take next. Sometimes the problem looks like outbursts of anger, deep sadness, rollercoaster emotions, complicated relationships, experiences of bullying, difficulties at school, or a hard time communicating with family. For young parents, managing life may seem impossible, in addition to judgements from family or friends around parenting.

I am passionate about supporting young people in finding healthy ways to deal with their emotions, becoming confident in their decisions, and working on feelings of shame and guilt that prevent them from succeeding. Becoming more aware of what your belief and value system looks like, will help us create a plan that can allow you to be yourself.

My work and life experience has taught me that everyone learns and copes with things differently, and as a therapist it’s important for me to connect with you and understand your needs. My support extends to guiding parents in creating a plan to support their children as well as themselves through these challenging times. Let’s begin by focusing on you!
